James Rippe (AKA Rippe) is an artist with over 35 years of experience in photography. With a BFA in photography from William Paterson University, Rippe has been learning his skills from the days of film photography right up to the digital age and now integrating the new world of AI into some of his work. Ripptowne Photography has received the Best Professional Photography Award from Durham magazine for 4 years in a row.

Rippe's passion for photographing people has led him to amazing opportunities to work with well known actors and musicians like Peter Mayhew, Chewbacca from Star Wars, or DMC from RUN DMC.  Rippe loves to find a true representation of the person in front of his camera and to help capture that moment forever in his work.
